With the addition of Siddhartha Roy, PhD, as our newest Center member, the Philadelphia Regional Center for Children’s Environmental Health has officially reached the milestone of 10 institutional members.

Dr. Roy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.  Rutgers becomes our 9th university and our first in the state of New Jersey.  With this addition, Rutgers faculty and researchers are now eligible to apply for our Pilot Project funding starting in December 2024.

Environmental health is interwoven throughout many parts of Rutgers. Along with the Department of Environmental Sciences, the university has an Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute, with an NIEHS funded Center for Environmental Health and Disease.   The School of Environmental and Biological Sciences has a public health major, in addition, the School of Public Health has a Department of Environmental and Occupational Health and Justice.

PRCCEH looks forward to engaging more with Rutgers, its faculty and researchers, and the southern New Jersey community dedicated to children’s environmental health.
