Congratulations to Dr. Eugenia South, who was appointed Associate Vice President for Health Justice for the University of Pennsylvania Health System (a newly created role) and named Inaugural Director of the Penn Medicine Center for Health Justice.
The University of Pennsylvania Health System’s Office of the CEO made the announcement on September 21, 2023. The new center’s goal is to “enable health through racial, economic, and environmental justice for Black, Brown, and all populations and neighborhoods harmed by structural inequity,”.
