Michelle Naccarati-Chapkis is the executive director of Women for a Healthy Environment (WHE). Michelle leads the WHE’s education and advocacy activities and focuses on the prevention of illness and disease linked to environmental exposures. Michelle is currently the District 8 Council Representative in Allegheny County. Michelle is working with the Center to create webinars for childcare providers in PA relating to environmental health.
Women for a Healthy Environment (WHE) provides education around environmental risks to human health, recommends action steps to mitigate those risks, and advocates for solutions to better protect Pennsylvanians. WHE serves parents, students, children, school and early learning personnel, as well as health and community-based organizations, with an emphasis on those living in underserved communities.
