J. William Gaynor, MD, is an attending surgeon in the Cardiac Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He holds the Daniel M. Tabas Endowed Chair in Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr. Gaynor specializes in heart surgery in infants. He currently serves as Director of the Long-term Follow-up Program in the Cardiac Center at CHOP and as the Co-Principal Investigator of the Birth Defects Biorepository.
Areas of expertise include the impact of the maternal-fetal environment on outcomes in congenital heart disease and the impact of environmental exposures on outcomes in congenital heart disease.
