Inquirer: PRCCEH Co-Director receives $11M from NIH to study dementia causes

Aimin Chen, MD, PhD, and his university collaborators were awarded $11 Million from the National Institutes of Health to look for traces of environmental chemicals in blood and test whether they are more frequently found in people who eventually develop Alzheimer, dementia and similar disorders.  The goal is “to understand more about environmental potential contributors to cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s”.
