Keeping Indoor Air Safe for Little Lungs: A Children’s Environmental Health Day Event

A discussion of best practices to improve indoor air quality at schools, daycare centers, childcare facilities, and at home. Improving indoor air will reduce the prevalence of asthma attacks and infectious disease transmission.

This event is part of the nationwide celebration of Children’s Environmental Health Day on Thursday, October 12, 2023.

Speakers at this webinar include:

• Jessica Rice, DO, MHS, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Pediatric Pulmonology, at Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine.

• Marilyn Howarth, MD, FACOEM, is the Deputy Director of the Philadelphia Regional Center for Children’s Environmental Health, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine.

• Moderated By: Rebecca Simmons, MD, is the Hallam Hurt Professor of Pediatrics at Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine and an attending neonatologist at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She serves as the Co-Director of the Philadelphia Regional Center for Children’s Environmental Health.
