In this webinar, Dr. Stephanie Mayne from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia will present results from a PRCCEH-funded pilot study examining the association of extreme temperatures with missed pediatric preventive visits. Additional research examining the relationship of neighborhood context, assessed using the multidimensional Child Opportunity Index, with primary care utilization, obesity, mental health, and adolescent risk factors will be presented as well.
Dr. Mayne, PhD, MD, is an epidemiologist whose research focuses on the relationship of neighborhood environmental exposures with child well-being, including outcomes such as sleep, mental health, and obesity. Her recent work uses intensive longitudinal methods including location tracking, ecological momentary assessment, and actigraphy to better assess environmental exposures that vary through time and space and their relationship to sleep among adolescents.
