Environmental, nutritional, and pharmacological factors in the development of autism spectrum disorders

The March seminar of the Philadelphia Regional Center for Children’s Environmental Health.  This session will be led by Arnold Eiser, MD, Master of the American College of Physicians (MACP).

The development of ASD entails a complex web of genetic, environmental, nutritional, and pharmacological factors in both mother and child. This talk will explore the interaction among last three factors and describe a trajectory to reduce its prevalence. Dr. Eiser has extensively researched the interfaces of the neurosciences and environmental health with particular attention to environmental factors in the development of dementia, autism, and dysautonomia.
