Carly Clayman is a research scientist in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She performs research in the lab of Dr. Todd Kilbaugh in the Resuscitation Science Center of Emphasis. Dr. Clayman’s research focuses on assessing neurobehavioral and mitochondrial toxicity of chemical compounds. She is especially interested in utilizing the zebrafish model (Danio rerio) in assessing age- and sex-differences in the impact of toxic chemicals exposures. Her work utilizes behavioral and biomolecular assays for assessing the mechanisms of toxicity across development.
