SUMMARY:2 Day: IAQ Workshop for Healthcare Professionals
DESCRIPTION:Join the American Lung Association for a two-part\, virtual workshop for healthcare professionals to assess and discuss indoor air pollutants with patients. Using case studies\, participants will apply key concepts and learn practical ways to use clinical tools\, including those from the American Lung Association\, that support patient education and healthier indoor environments. \nParticipation in both days is required.  Day 2 is on June 16. \nWhy attend? Build confidence in assessing indoor air risks using practical\, evidence-based tools from the American Lung Association—including the IAQ Action Plan\, fact sheets\, videos\, and clinical decision-support materials that help healthcare professionals identify\, screen\, and support patients affected by indoor air pollution. \nWho should join? This workshop is designed for all healthcare professionals who engage in patient assessment or education\, including respiratory therapists\, nurses\, nurse practitioners\, physicians\, community health workers\, and other frontline practitioners. \nWhat will you learn? Upon completion of this Workshop\, participants will be able to: \n\nIdentify common indoor air pollutants and describe their associated health impacts.\nApply practical\, evidence-based strategies to assess and counsel patients on reducing exposure to indoor air pollution.\nUtilize American Lung Association IAQ tools and resources to support patient assessment\, education\, and action planning related to indoor air quality improvement.\n\nRegistration Information\nLogin information for the live webinar will be provided in a confirmation email after registration is complete.
