After a study found that many popular headphones had trace amounts of chemicals linked to reproductive and neurobehavior problems, some European retailers pulled the products from their shelves. Aimin Chen, MD, PhD, PRCCEH Co-Director, who was not involved in the study, explains how the headphones could release the chemicals due to high heat and sweat from being worn.
